We’re here to help fight isolation for older people in and around the London Borough of Merton. We work with people aged 50 years and older.
The Lunch Club is open five days a week, offering a tasty, healthy two-course meal each day, at the cost of just £7.00 per person.
We offer activities before and after lunch. These could be gentle exercise sessions, crafting, informative talks, or fun games, including bingo.
We are also able to provide advice on benefit issues, housing issues, applying for blue badges, taxi cards, passports, etc, via our support programme.
If you live in Merton, we are also able to provide transport to and from the Lunch Club if needed. There is a small additional charge of £2.00 per day for this service.
Other Services for Older People & Supporting Carers
Our New Horizon Centre is a ground-level building with access ramps and free parking, and buses 152, 463, 255 and 60 stop right outside at the Pollards Hill Library bus stops.
We can offer a Carers Deal of £10 for two people at our Lunch Club for older people (see above)

Monday and Friday Hairdresser

Wednesday Head and Shoulders Seated Massage
Tatiana provides seated massage for women every Wednesday lunchtime for £20 per session. Again, you can pre-book this to coincide with lunch in the Lunch Club. Email email hidden; JavaScript is required for details.
Our Community Café Space
We have a community café space, next door to the Lunch Club Dining Room, that we would love you to use to arrange regular day-time meet-ups with friends or fellow carers, to chat, try out hobbies, arrange to hear from other services. The space is completely free – we would ask for a small donation to cover the cost of teas, coffees etc. We also have free wifi here if you just want to catch up with your own stuff on line. Contact email hidden; JavaScript is required to discuss.
Growing and Cooking Food
We are always looking for volunteers to help us with our fruit and veg patch, and have plans for a mini orchard too. If you would like to form a cooking or supper club, please get in touch too! email hidden; JavaScript is required.
Volunteer
We are always looking for ideas for activities for our lunch club and volunteers to run them. Please contact us if you can help:
