In August 2022 Commonside opened up the New Horizon Centre to be the Rest Centre following the tragic gas explosion in Galpins Road. It was a harrowing and distressing time for all of us and we had to learn a lot of things very fast. We are very keen to share our experiences with any other community organisations who know they may have to step up in the future and proud to have launched a booklet on this matter in partnership with Merton Council and with backing from the GLA earlier this week.
