This Friday, 22 November, we are working together with Merton Police and Council services to run a Day of Visibility. The purpose is to bring people who provide a range of services that are there to help us to keep the community safe and clean. The Day starts at 10am and you will be able to visit with representatives from Moat Homes, Moat Foundation, Violence Against Women and Girls (Merton Council) and the Neighbourhood Police team. Other teams will be in Pollards Hill, tasked with walking around and talking to local people about their concerns and answering questions or taking back requests for information and getting answers for you.
The services that will be represented during the day include:
- Moat Neighbourhoods Team (with stall in the New Horizon Centre)
- Moat Foundation (with stall inside the Centre)
- Safer Neighbourhood Police (with stall inside the Centre and possibly bike-marking – to be confirmed)
- Violence Against Women and Girls (with stall inside)
- Anti Social Behaviour (Council)
- Neighbourhood Watch (Council/Police)
- Environmental Health Enforcement (eg fly-tipping)
- Licensing
- Trading Standards
- VIA drug and alcohol outreach
- Homelessness Outreach
- Parking Enforcement
- Private Sector Housing (Council)
- Detached Youth Service
Please take advantage of the fact that all these services will be represented throughout the day in Pollards Hill, tell your neighbours and local friends, loved ones etc, and make contact with them. They can all help us to keep this neighbourhood safe, reduce crime and ASB and make it more attractive and litter-free.
