We are very proud of our café – it is indeed the Café in the Centre of everything. We call it our ‘Kindness Café – people say we are kind to run it, to which we answer ‘all we ask in return is that you are kind to our team, our building and to each other’.
The Café is open on Monday and Friday mornings from 9am to 12 noon running alongside our indoor markets offering tea, coffee and breakfast items at very reasonable prices. Alongside the café, local businesswoman Jenny sells a selection of freshly bakes cakes and savouries.
On weekday afternoons, the café is open from 2-4pm daily, offering tea, coffee and biscuits. We keep prices very low thanks to generous support from Starbucks. We always have fresh fruit to offer, thanks to our supporters Fruitful Office. It provides a relaxed space to meet friends, read the papers, do crosswords etc and has a free book swap service as well as noticeboards with information about local training, volunteering and employment opportunities.

On Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday mornings we run the café in partnership with a number of local partners who bring information about the free services that they offer, eg Energy Saving, Age UK Merton, Merton Carers Support, Wimbledon Guild, WDP Drug and Alcohol Services and Job Centre Plus.
